June 28-30, 2017. Symposium on the Mobilization of Structured Biodiversity Data. Leipzig, Germany

The main objectives of this symposium are threefold: discussing strategies towards openaccess for species distribution and population abundance structured data; discussing tools,approaches and limitations to achieve this goal; addressing strategies to systematicallymobilize existing and future data into open data portals. Ultimately, we seek to convene dataproducers, data holders, biodiversity scientists, data scientists, and journal editors in thedevelopment of a roadmap for the mobilization of Species Populations structured data intoGBIF using the Darwin Event Core.
